Where is the Outbound Lounge located?The Outbound Lounge is located at former runway 10, at the far end of VC Bird International's secured airfield. How do I get to the Outbound Lounge?Guests of the lounge arrive via FBO 2000's private entrance at Gate 10. Gate 10 is located across from Shell Beach Marina and within 3 minutes drive of the Jumby Bay dock. Please note you will not go to the main terminal. We will confirm with your driver that he should arrive at Gate 10. What is FBO 2000?FBO 2000 Antigua Ltd. is the parent company of the Outbound Lounge, and the only full service FBO at VC Bird International. What does FBO stand for?Fixed base operators (also known as fixed base of operation), or FBOs, are service providers at airports. While most FBO operators usually sell fuel for general aviation aircraft, some [like FBO 2000] also provide facilities for receiving and handling charter flights, VIP passengers and business jets and are utilized widely by charter operators. http://www.paramountbusinessjets.com/charterterms/fbo.php Why is the Outbound Lounge only available to British Airways passengers?Because FBO 2000's primary business is servicing private jets and charters, the lounge must maintain the exclusivity and personal VIP service expected of an FBO facility. As such, we have chosen to work with just one airline, and limit the capacity to just 15 adults - despite having ample indoor and outdoor seating. Is the Outbound Lounge free for Club Class passengers or offered in conjunction with any other Airport Lounge program?The Outbound Lounge is an independent service that must be booked by travelers directly (or through their tour operator, local representative or hotel concierge). It is not a British Airways product, nor is it offered by the airline or any other lounge program as a complimentary service. Why would someone use the Outbound Lounge if British Airways offers an alternative Club Class lounge?Guests of the Outbound Lounge skip the main terminal completely. They enter via our private entrance at the back of the airport, use the private airport facilities of FBO 2000, and are afforded true VIP service - as if traveling by private plane. Within moments of arriving, you will be invited to sit back with a glass of wine or enjoy lounging on our sundeck whilst our hosts and agents check you in, confirm your seat assignment, tag and transfer your baggage to the main terminal, and coordinate your outbound customs and immigration clearance. When it is time to board, you will pass through state-of-the-art security overseen by airport officials, and board our passenger vans for transfer to the steps of the plane. What is the cost of this service and what is included?The service is currently available for $95 USD per person age 13 and over, and $20 USD for children 5 to 12. Children under 5 are free. This includes the airport and passport services as described above, plus gourmet refreshments, fine wines, WIFI, business center, international reading material, TVs, two private VVIP rooms, and shower facilities. A selection of duty free items are available, including liquor, cigarettes, cigars, snacks, souvenirs and travel pillows at an additional cost. Can I use the Outbound Lounge if arriving in Antigua from another island and traveling to the UK on British Airways?Yes, as an FBO we can offer in-transit passengers the option of landing directly outside our facility. Instead of waiting at an airport restaurant, or on the grounds outside, spend your layover in a comfortable, clean and air-conditioned facility complete with shower facilities and the opportunity to enjoy the sun whilst being checked-in and ready for take-off. There is an additional Customs and Immigration fee of $100 USD for landing directly in front of the FBO. Guests on commercial flights or charters that land at the main terminal will be met and transferred to our lounge at no additional cost. Layovers that exceed 3 hours will incur an additional $10 USD/hr charge to accommodate additional food and beverage service and/or transfer to nearby beach restaurants.
